Pain in my eyes

You can't see the pain in my eyes,
The feelings that hide behind the lies,
My heart so bloody and raw,
That has been ripped apart by an evil claw.

Do you see the blood that falls from me,
Do you see what no other can see,
The shattered pieces of me on the floor,
The girl that was but is no more.

Hardened by life,
The pain and strife,
With everything to gain and nothing to lose,
But before me no path to choose.

I can laugh and smile so wide,
But deep inside my heart is fried,
I may seem like I feel the pain,
But deep inside my soul is slain.
